FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO THE HIGH INCIDENCE OF MATERNAL MORTALITY IN TGE WA MUNICIPALITY
A descriptive cross-sectional study was used to carry out a research on maternal mortality in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region in October, 2023. The multi stage sampling method involving the simple random and convenient sampling methods was used to select ten (10) communities and fifty (50) respondents made up of women of reproductive age who have experienced at least one child birth. A focus group discussion was also held with midwives at the Wa Regional Hospital.
