POLICY FOR LIBRARY
USAGE AT NURSING TRAINING COLLEGE, WA
INTRODUCTION
The library
is a vital part of the academic life of every student in the school.it is a
place where student can explore new ideas, conduct research, and improve their
knowledge base.
The purpose
of this policy document is to providing guidelines for the operation of the
library and its services to ensure that all students and staff have access to
high-quality resources and facilities.
Library Hours:
The library
shall remain open during weekdays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Borrowing:
The library
shall offer a lending service to all students and staff members.
Staff:
Staff members shall borrow books for a period
of one month, and they can renew the book for an additional month if there is no
other demand for the book.
Students:
Students
shall borrow books for a period of one week, and there can renew the book for
an additional one week if there is no other demand for the book.
Fines:
Overdue of
book shall charge a fine of GHS 1.00 per day. If the book is lost or damaged,
the student or staff member be required to pay three times the cost for the
book.
Library Services:
The library
shall maintain a current and comprehensive collection of books.
Periodical,
and electronic resources relevant to the nursing curriculum.
The library
shall ensure that resource are acquired, organized and made available to
student and staff
In timely
and efficient manner.
Library Staff:
The library
shall be staffed by qualified librarians and support staff who are responsible
for the acquisition, organization and provision of library resources and
services .The staff shall ensure that the library is a welcoming and supportive
environment for all users.
Library Facilities:
The library
shall provide comfortable and conducive environment for studies and research.
The library shall be equipped with adequate seating. Lighting and power outlets
.The library shall also provide internet connectivity, photocopying facilities
and printing facilities at reasonable rates.
Library Services:
The library shall offer a range of services to
support the research and academic need of student
And staff.
These services shall include reference services, interlibrary loan online
database access, and bibliographic instruction.
